directedit: three different, conflicting explanations depending on the source
Problem
The meaning of the directedit element field differs depending on where you look:
-
libs/model/element/elementbase.h(Doxygen comment): "When true, frontend allows inline editing (click-to-edit). When false, element is read-only or requires separate edit dialog." -
Site docs,
structure.*.md: "true= sendSVon every change;false= group withSA." -
Actual OstErix implementation (
property.component.html, lines ~113-374): matches the C++ header's version —directedit=true→ inline-editable widget (select/text/date/etc.);directedit=false→ strictly read-only display (image, video, light badge...). No notion of SV/SA batching visible in that template at all.
So the site documentation's explanation appears to not match the actual reference implementation's behavior — unless the SV/SA-batching behavior it describes exists somewhere else (e.g. a grouped-edit dialog like ParametersComponent, not yet checked against this specific claim).
Suggested fix
Determine which explanation is actually correct (possibly both are true in different UI contexts, and the docs are just missing the "in which context" qualifier), then fix whichever of structure.*.md or the C++ doc comment is wrong, so there's a single, unambiguous definition.
